Note: The Formal Mission Bonsai stand is my favorite stand to build. I designed this style on request from a customer in the state of Washington 20 years ago. The customer needed a stand for a Formal Upright Bonsai tree. It will also work for many other styles of Bonsai stands.
This Formal Mission Bonsai Stand has handcrafted legs, that have 5 separate pieces, which are cut, and sanded by using 3 different type of sanders, all done by hand. The four "six window" support bars that are attached to the underside of the top and legs are very unique in that it takes many different tools to make them.
Bonsai stands or collectible displays is an excellent way frame and display your Bonsai stands or collectibles. The Bonsai stand is made from solid Walnut hardwood. The display stand is finished with a protective satin water resistant finish. The top is 3/4" thick.
